Oya Sushi definitely deserves more than five stars since it’s a top-notch sushi restaurant in Maryland! Not only sushi/sashimi platter was made with exceptional quality and flavor, but their hot dishes were also perfectly cooked and very delicious. The restaurant was very clean & neat, and the staffs were super friendly and nice. Will absolutely be back to try other plates from the menu :) Highly, highly recommended!

Actually 10/10, we went around 5ish starving and it was pretty empty, seated right away. Amazing service everyone was so nice and helpful, cool music, drinks stayed full, sushi was fresh and just yum. They offered us hot tea and miso and dessert! Unfortunately the camera ate first for dessert lol but was Monaka Ice Cream which I included a photo of what it looks like. Amazing experience we live like 25 min away but will probs be new regulars
After moving from South Korea, I’ve been searching for a good sushi restaurant, but until now, I hadn’t found one. I was delighted to discover mackerel on the menu here, which is rare in sushi places, so I ordered the mackerel nigiri—it was savory and delicious. I also tried the Sushi Regular, and every piece was fresh and well-balanced, with just the right texture, rice, and temperature. The small dishes of seaweed and ginger were authentic and a nice touch. The quality is excellent, and the price is very reasonable. I’ll definitely be coming back!
great local sushi place! Large pieces of fish with small amount of rice, something you don’t really see often. Ordered a simple tuna roll and nigiris to gage their quality and did not disappoint. Highly recommend!
When I saw that this place had 4.9 stars, I was pretty doubtful of it’s quality. Like, come on, what place is that close to 5 stars. Well to my surprise this was the best sushi experience I could’ve asked for. Not only was our server providing 10/10 friendliness and attentiveness, but the food was immaculate. I’m talking the presentation and quality of meat was just beaaauuutiful! The place itself is nice and relaxing, no blaring music or loud conversations happening when I was there. I went here for a date and we already have a second date lined up so I owe it all thanks to Oya Sushi
My husband highly recommended this sushi restaurant, so we decided to visit as a family—and it did not disappoint. The quality of the sushi was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. Even the kids’ menu option, the fresh pork loin tonkatsu, was exceptional. Every dish felt carefully crafted with genuine hospitality, making us feel truly valued as guests. In my opinion, this was pretty good Sushi paid about twelve bucks for 4 rolls but they were fresh raw, and were just the right temperature. The lady at the front desk helped me out with choosing my two options and it was a pretty quick and pleasant experience, enjoyed it overall. I just want to add this. Isn't your typical grocery store sushi? And it's better than most average sushi places you'll find or even a hibachi place that says they do sushi. No, this place has some really good fish, You'll taste the difference!
